making decisions when the choices are nil
going back to that numb place still
cold on the outside,
inside i'm use to -

told myself this was a good thing
follow that straight and narrow line
tick the boxes
smile, be a lady
don't compromise on what is true to you

now i see it was all just a haze,
i've been lost in here for days.

That quiet sound of the past calls me
pretending that's where i should, or rather be

Frustrated at this place i continually find myself
unable to choose the way
unsure what to say....

this aint no love story today
just another role i chose to play.

Below reality

Swim to the bottom of the ocean,
just to escape the tumultuous seas above.
You can't stay here forever.

So she puts on a 'happy song' and pretends its all ok.
Everything'll be ok.
Everything'll be fine.
If we can just keep our minds occupied with music,
If we can just keep our bodies occupied with dancing..

Faraway dreams,
and crystals on the ocean floor.

Its amazing
our view of the world
constantly changing.

From infancy to adulthood
we think we are learning
getting a better picture of what its all about.

What if all we know is wrong?
